Travel Guide to Kushikatsu Daruma - Dotombori

Getting There

• Train

  If you are traveling from Kyoto, take the JR Special Rapid Service from Kyoto Station to Osaka Station (cost: approximately ¥560, duration: about 30 minutes). Once you arrive at Osaka Station, transfer to the Osaka Metro Midosuji Line and take the train towards Nakamozu. Get off at Namba Station (cost: approximately ¥230, duration: about 10 minutes). After exiting the station, follow the signs for Dotonbori, which is a short 5-10 minute walk.

• Bus

  If you are coming from Kobe, take the Hanshin Bus from Sannomiya Station to Namba (cost: approximately ¥620, duration: around 50 minutes). Once you arrive at Namba, follow the signs to Dotonbori, which is just a 5-minute walk away.

• Car

  If you are driving, take the Hanshin Expressway Route 1. Use the Dotonbori Exit (Exit 14). Note that parking can be limited in this area. There are several paid parking lots nearby, with rates typically ranging from ¥300 to ¥600 per hour. After parking, walk towards the Dotonbori area; Kushikatsu Daruma is located at 1 Chome−6−8, Dotonbori, inside the Dotonbori Daruma Building, which is just a few minutes' walk from the main street.

• Subway

  From Osaka Station, you can also choose to take the Osaka Metro Yotsubashi Line to Namba Station (cost: approximately ¥230, duration: about 15 minutes). Once you arrive, exit the station and walk towards Dotonbori, which is about a 5-minute walk. Look for the Dotonbori Daruma Building signage.
