Car
If you are traveling by car, you can take the Nishi-Meihan Expressway. From Kyoto, head south on the Meishin Expressway, then merge onto the Nishi-Meihan Expressway towards Nara. Follow the signs for Nara until you reach the city center. Once you arrive in Nara, look for parking areas near the Nara Park and Todai-ji Temple, which are popular attractions.
Train
To reach Nara by train, start from Kyoto Station. Take the JR Nara Line (Kintetsu Nara Line is another option if you prefer) and board a train heading towards Nara. The journey takes about 45 minutes. Get off at Nara Station. From there, you can walk to the city center or take a local bus to Nara Park, where many attractions are located.
Bus
If you prefer to travel by bus, take the Kintetsu Bus from Kyoto Station. Buses to Nara are frequent and take approximately 1 hour. You can buy tickets at the bus terminal. Get off at the Nara Park stop, which is close to many attractions, including Todai-ji Temple and Nara's famous deer park.
