From the center of Kumano Kodo, head south on Route 42. After approximately 30 km, take the exit towards Nakahechicho Ouchigawa. Follow the signs to Ouchigawa for about 10 km. Once you reach the village, look for signs leading to 悪四郎山. There is a small parking area near the trailhead. Note that parking may incur a fee of around ¥500.

From Kumano Kodo, take a local bus towards Tanabe. The bus departs from the Kumano Kodo bus stop and takes about 40 minutes. Disembark at the Ouchigawa bus stop.
