If you're driving, start by navigating to Kyoto City and then follow signs for Route 1 (Kyoto to Nara). Continue on Route 1 until you reach the intersection with Route 162, then turn onto Route 162. Follow this road for approximately 10 kilometers until you reach the Higashiyama area. Look for signs directing you to Komyo-in Temple, which is located at 15 Chome-809 Honmachi. There is limited parking available near the temple, so be prepared to park in designated areas.

Public Transportation
To reach Komyo-in Temple using public transportation, start by taking the Kyoto City Bus from Kyoto Station. Board Bus #100 or #206 towards Hiyoshi. Ride for about 30 minutes until you reach the stop for 'Higashiyama Shichijo.' From there, transfer to Bus #17 towards 'Kiyomizu-dera' and ride for 10 minutes. Get off at 'Higashiyama Honmachi' stop. Komyo-in Temple is about a 10-minute walk from the bus stop. Head north on Honmachi Street, and follow the signs to the temple.
