Car
If you are traveling by car, start by heading northwest on Route 162 (Kyoto-Tango Line) from your current location in Kyoto countryside. Continue on Route 162 for about 15 minutes, following the signs for Umegahata Toganoocho. Once you reach the Umegahata Toganoocho area, turn onto Umegahata Toganoocho street. Kozan-ji will be on your right at 8 Umegahata Toganoocho. There is parking available nearby.

Public Transportation
To reach Kozan-ji using public transportation, start at the nearest train station such as Kyoto Station. Take the JR Sagano Line towards Saga-Arashiyama Station. After about 30 minutes, get off at Saga-Arashiyama Station. From there, transfer to a local bus (Bus No. 28) heading towards Umegahata Toganoocho. Stay on the bus for about 15 minutes and disembark at the Kozan-ji stop. The temple will be a short walk from the bus stop, located at 8 Umegahata Toganoocho.
