Public Transportation
From Kyoto Station, take the JR Sanin Line towards Sonobe and get off at Hanazono Station. Exit the station and walk to the bus stop located on the north side of the station. Board the Kyoto City Bus #26, which heads towards Arashiyama. After approximately 10 minutes, get off at the 'Rokuoin-mae' bus stop. From there, Rokuo-in is just a 5-minute walk. Head northwest on Sagakitaro Street, and you will find the temple at 24 Sagakitaboricho.
Car
If you are driving from central Kyoto, take Route 162 (also called the Kyoto Prefectural Road) heading north. Follow the road until you reach the intersection with Route 38 in Ukyo Ward. Turn left on Route 38 and continue for about 3 kilometers. Look for the signs for 'Rokuo-in' as you approach Sagakitaboricho. Turn right on Sagakitaboricho and you will find Rokuo-in at number 24. Parking is available nearby.
Taxi
If you prefer a more direct route, you can hail a taxi from anywhere in the Kyoto countryside. Simply tell the driver you want to go to Rokuo-in at 24 Sagakitaboricho, Ukyo Ward. The taxi ride will take approximately 20-30 minutes depending on traffic.
