Car
If you are driving, take the R162 road from central Kyoto towards Sagano. Once you reach the Sagatenryuji area, follow the signs for the Sagano Romantic Train. The address is Sagatenryuji Kurumamichicho, Ukyo Ward, Kyoto, 616-8373. There is free parking available nearby, but it can fill up quickly on weekends, so arrive early.

Public Transportation (Train)
From Kyoto Station, take the JR San-in Line towards Sonobe. Get off at the Saga-Arashiyama Station (approximately 15 minutes). From there, it's a 10-minute walk to the Sagano Romantic Train station. Follow the signs or use a map app to navigate to Sagatenryuji Kurumamichicho. The train station is well-marked and easy to find.

Public Transportation (Bus)
From Kyoto Station, you can also take the Kyoto City Bus #28 to Arashiyama. Get off at the Arashiyama stop (around 30 minutes). Then, walk towards the Sagano Romantic Train station, which is about a 15-minute walk from the bus stop. Again, follow the signs or consult a map app for the best route.

If you are near the Arashiyama area, you can take a local train to the Arashiyama Station. Once you arrive, it’s a scenic 20-minute walk along the river to the Sagano Romantic Train station. This route provides beautiful views and is a lovely way to enjoy the countryside.
