Getting There

  • Train

    From Kyoto Station, take the JR Nara Line towards Nara. The journey takes about 45 minutes. Get off at Nara Station. Once you exit the station, you will find a large bus terminal and pedestrian area. Walk straight towards the main street (Sanjo-dori) and turn left. Continue walking straight for about 15 minutes until you reach the intersection with Ikenocho. Turn right onto Ikenocho, and after a short walk, you will find the Nara Visitor Center & Inn at 3 Ikenocho.

  • Bus

    From Kyoto Station, you can take the Kintetsu bus (Kintetsu Nara Line) to Nara directly. The bus ride takes around 1 hour. Disembark at the Nara Bus Terminal. From there, walk straight towards the main street and take a left. Continue walking straight for about 15 minutes until you reach Ikenocho. Turn right on Ikenocho, and the Nara Visitor Center & Inn will be on your right at 3 Ikenocho.

  • Bicycle

    If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bicycle at one of the rental shops around Kyoto Station. Follow the Yamatoji Line towards Nara, which is approximately 45 km away. After arriving in Nara, follow the road signs to the city center. Once you are in the city center, navigate to Ikenocho and look for the Nara Visitor Center & Inn at 3 Ikenocho.
