Getting There

  • Train

    From Kyoto Station, take the JR Special Rapid Service towards Osaka Station. The journey takes approximately 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Osaka Station, transfer to the JR Loop Line and take the train towards Osakajokoen Station. Get off at Osakajokoen Station, which is just two stops away. From the station, it's a 10-minute walk to Osaka Castle Park. Exit the station and head west towards the large park area where you can see the castle.

    From Kyoto Station, take the Karasuma Subway Line towards Takeda and get off at the last stop, Takeda Station. Transfer to the Hankyu Kyoto Line and take the train towards Umeda. Once you reach Umeda Station, transfer to the JR Loop Line and ride towards Osakajokoen Station. After getting off at Osakajokoen Station, walk west for about 10 minutes until you reach Osaka Castle Park.

    From Kyoto Station, you can take the City Bus No. 205 or 17 towards Osaka. The bus ride takes around 45 minutes, depending on traffic. Get off at the Osaka Castle Park bus stop. From there, it's a short walk to the entrance of Osaka Castle Park.
