Public Transportation
If you are in Osaka city, take the Osaka Metro. Board the Tanimachi Line (purple line) at your nearest station and travel to Tanimachiyonchome Station. Change to the Chuo Line (blue line) and head towards Nagai. Get off at Osakajo-koen Station. From the station, follow the signs to Osaka Castle Park. The Kimmeisui Well Roof is located within the park, a short walk from the main entrance.
Public Transportation
From Kyoto, take the JR Special Rapid Service from Kyoto Station to Osaka Station (approximately 30 minutes). Once at Osaka Station, transfer to the Osaka Metro (Midosuji Line) and head towards Nakamozu. Change at Namba Station to the Tanimachi Line and ride to Tanimachiyonchome Station. Then switch to the Chuo Line to Osakajo-koen Station. Follow the signs to Osaka Castle Park.
Car
If you are driving, take the Hanshin Expressway Route 1 or Route 16 towards Osaka. Exit at the Osakajo exit. There is parking available near Osaka Castle Park, but it can be busy, so consider arriving early. Once parked, walk to the park entrance and follow the signs to the Kimmeisui Well Roof, which is located within the grounds of Osaka Castle.
Taxi
For a more direct route, consider taking a taxi. Simply provide the driver with the address: 1-1 Osakajo, Chuo Ward, Osaka, 540-0002. Taxis are widely available in Kyoto and Osaka, and this can be a convenient option if you are traveling with luggage or in a group. The fare will vary depending on your starting location, but expect it to be around 2,500 to 5,000 yen from central Osaka.
