Public Transport
Start your journey at Kyoto Station. Take the Karasuma Line (subway) to Kokusaikaikan Station, which is approximately 30 minutes away. Once you arrive at Kokusaikaikan Station, take Exit 1. After exiting, walk straight for about 10 minutes until you reach the intersection. Turn left onto Route 162 (also known as Kitayama Dori) and continue walking for about 15 minutes. You will then see the entrance to Daisen-in Temple on your right.

From Kyoto Station, take bus number 204 or 205 towards the direction of Kitayama. Get off at the Daitokuji-mae stop, which takes about 40 minutes. After disembarking, walk north along the main road for about 5 minutes, and you will reach Daisen-in Temple on your left. Make sure to check the bus schedule as they can vary throughout the day.

If you are visiting Daitoku-ji Temple first, you can reach Daisen-in Temple by walking. Exit Daitoku-ji Temple and head north. Walk straight for about 10 minutes along the road, and you will see the sign for Daisen-in Temple on your left. The walk is pleasant, surrounded by traditional Japanese architecture.
