Public Transport
From Kyoto Station, take the JR Nara Line to Tofuku-ji Station. Once you arrive, exit the station and walk towards the main road. Turn left and walk straight until you reach the intersection with the Keihan Railway Line. Here, you can take the Keihan Main Line towards Demachiyanagi Station. Get off at Keage Station. After exiting Keage Station, walk straight for about 10 minutes along the road until you reach the entrance to Eikan-dō Temple, which is located at 48 Eikandocho, Sakyo Ward.
Walking
If you are near the Nanzen-ji Temple area, you can walk to Eikan-dō Temple. Head north along the road from Nanzen-ji, and after about 15 minutes, you will see a sign for Eikan-dō Temple. The path will lead you through a beautiful area with traditional architecture and nature, making for a pleasant stroll.
Bus
From Kyoto Station, take the Kyoto City Bus number 100 or 206. Ride until you reach the Eikando-michi bus stop. Once you get off, walk for about 5 minutes towards the temple. Follow the signs that direct you to Eikan-dō Temple, which is an easy walk through the residential area.
