From Kiyomizu-dera Temple, walk east along the main street (Matsubara-dori) for about 5 minutes. Turn right onto Teramachi-dori Street and walk south for another 2 minutes. The shrine will be on your left. This is a free and pleasant walk through a historic neighborhood.

From Kyoto Station, take the Karasuma Line subway to Shijo Station. Transfer to the Keihan Line and get off at Gion-Shijo Station. From there, it's approximately a 15-minute walk to the shrine. The subway fare is between 220-350 yen. The Keihan Line will cost approximately 210 yen.
