To reach Mt. Zao by car from Mikawa, start by heading south on Route 259. Continue for approximately 30 minutes until you reach the junction with Route 42. Take the exit onto Route 42 and follow it for about 15 minutes. Look for signs directing you to Mt. Zao. The final stretch will take you through scenic roads leading directly to the mountain. There is a parking lot at the base of Mt. Zao where you can leave your car. Note that parking may incur a fee of around 500 yen.

If you prefer public transportation, take a train from Mikawa Station to Tahara Station on the Meitetsu Mikawa Line. The journey takes around 25 minutes.
