Getting There

  • Car

    If you're traveling by car from Mikawa, head towards Route 9. Follow Route 9 north until you reach the junction with Route 431. Take Route 431 towards Izumo, and continue straight for approximately 30 kilometers. You will see signs for Izumo Taisha as you approach the city. Once you enter the city of Izumo, follow the signs for Izumo Taisha. There is ample parking available near the shrine, though it may incur a small fee (around 500 yen).

  • Train and Bus

    To reach Izumo Taisha using public transportation, start at Mikawa Station. Take the JR San-in Line heading towards Matsue. After about 45 minutes, get off at Izumo-shi Station. From Izumo-shi Station, take the local bus (No. 1 or No. 2) heading towards Izumo Taisha. The bus ride will take approximately 15 minutes, and you will need to pay around 300 yen. The bus will drop you off near the entrance of Izumo Taisha.
