If you are traveling by car, start from the center of Mutsu city. Head south on Route 279. Follow the signs for Osorezan, which is approximately a 30-minute drive. Once you arrive at the Osorezan area, you will find parking available near the entrance to the Osorezan Bodaiji Temple. Note that parking may incur a small fee, usually around 500 yen.
Public Transportation
For public transportation, take a bus from Mutsu Station. Board the bus heading to Osorezan; the bus ride takes about 45 minutes. The bus will drop you off near the base of Osorezan. From the bus stop, follow the signs directing you to Osorezan Bodaiji Temple, which is a short walk uphill. The bus fare is approximately 800 yen one way.
