    Getting There

    Car

    If you're driving, head towards the city center of Nagasaki. Use Route 34 (Nagasaki Road) and follow the signs for Nagasaki Station. Once you reach the station, take a right onto Route 57 (Tateyama Road). Continue straight until you see the signs for Sofuku-ji. The temple is located at 7-5 Kajiyamachi, which is just off the main road. There is parking available nearby, but it can fill up quickly, so plan accordingly.

    Take the tram from Nagasaki Station. Board the tram line 1 towards Takaraguchi. Ride for about 10 minutes and get off at the 'Shinchi Chinatown' stop. From there, walk towards the east along the street for about 5 minutes until you reach Kajiyamachi. Sofuku-ji will be on your left at 7-5 Kajiyamachi. The temple is also well-signposted, so you can follow the directional signs along the way.
