Getting There

  • Public Transportation - Bus

    From Nagasaki Station, take the Nishitetsu Bus No. 3 bound for 'Shukumachi' or 'Nagasaki Penguin Aquarium'. The journey takes approximately 30 minutes. You will need to pay around 500 yen for a one-way ticket. Disembark at the 'Nagasaki Penguin Aquarium' stop, which is directly in front of the aquarium.

  • Public Transportation - Tram

    From Nagasaki Station, take the tram (Nagasaki Electric Tramway) on the Line 1 towards 'Umegasaki'. Get off at 'Kankōdori' station after about 15 minutes. Transfer to the Nishitetsu Bus No. 3 or No. 4 and ride for another 15 minutes to reach the Nagasaki Penguin Aquarium. The total cost for the tram and bus combined is approximately 600 yen.

  • Car

    If you are driving, head south on Route 202 from Nagasaki Station. Follow the signs for Shukumachi and continue for about 15 minutes until you reach the aquarium located at 3-16 Shukumachi, Nagasaki, 851-0121. There is parking available at the aquarium. Be aware that parking may incur additional fees, typically around 500 yen per hour.
