Getting There

Train

From Nagoya Station, take the Kintetsu Nagoya Line (Kintetsu Limited Express or Local Train) towards Kintetsu Yatomi Station. The journey takes approximately 30 minutes. Get off at the Kanie Station. From Kanie Station, exit and head towards the north exit. Then, take a local bus (Kanie Town Bus) heading towards Monyashikikami. Alight at the Monyashikikami bus stop, which is the closest stop to Ryushoin. The temple is a short walk from the bus stop.
Bus

From Nagoya Station, you can also take a Meitetsu bus bound for Kanie. The bus departs from the Meitetsu Bus Center located next to Nagoya Station. The ride takes about 45 minutes. Once you arrive at the Kanie bus terminal, transfer to a local bus heading towards Monyashikikami. Get off at the Monyashikikami bus stop. Ryushoin is a brief 5-minute walk from there.
Combination of Train and Walking

You can take the Tokaido Line from Nagoya Station to Kameyama Station, which takes about 40 minutes. From Kameyama Station, you will need to walk approximately 25 minutes to reach Ryushoin. Follow the signs towards Kanie, as the temple is located in that direction. This option is less convenient but offers a chance to explore the area on foot.
