Very friendly activity. A truly adorable welcome and a patient teacher listening and motivating. The course takes place in 2 stages: training on thematic ideograms chosen then break (the and sweets very appreciated!!) And finally realization of a small souvenir calligraphy to take away! They also offer a small gift at the end and offer to take pictures for us! Everything was perfect with a small personalized message 🥰

The class is around 2 hours. So it’s wise to plan ahead. Kano San has a clean and tidy studio room to practice and can accommodate several people. I went alone and had one on one time to enjoy myself with the craft. It was a good time and money well spent. Kano San is extremely nice and helpful, she routinely gives you tips to improve without sounding condescending or mean. She has a great passion for Shodo and that passion translates in to a genuine desire to share it with everyone. Both Japanese and non Japanese alike.
