Getting There

Subway
Start your journey at Nagoya Station, the main railway station in Nagoya. Take the Higashiyama Line (light blue line) towards Fujigaoka. Travel for about 5 stops and get off at Sakae Station. At Sakae Station, transfer to the Meijo Line (purple line) and head towards Nagoya Dome-mae Yada Station. Get off after 2 stops at Higashi Betsuin Station. Upon exiting the station, head southeast towards Tsutsui Street.

From Higashi Betsuin Station, walk about 800 meters (approximately 10 minutes). Exit the station and turn right onto Tsutsui Street. Continue walking straight until you reach the intersection with Meiji Street. Turn left and walk for another 300 meters. Kenchū-ji Temple will be on your left at 1 Chome-7-57 Tsutsui, Higashi Ward, Nagoya, Aichi 461-0003.

If you prefer to take a bus, from Sakae Station, you can catch the Nagoya City Bus (Route 12) at Sakae 3-chome bus stop. Ride for about 10 minutes and get off at Tsutsui 1-chome bus stop. From there, walk about 300 meters (approximately 4 minutes) south on Tsutsui Street, and you will arrive at Kenchū-ji Temple.
