Getting There

  • Subway

    If you are starting from Nagoya Station, take the Higashiyama Line (light blue line) towards Fujigaoka. Ride for 3 stops and get off at Sakae Station. At Sakae Station, transfer to the Meijo Line (orange line) and take the train towards Nagoya Castle Station. Get off at Nagoya Castle Station after 2 stops. Once you exit the station, follow the signs towards Nagoya Castle. You will walk approximately 10 minutes to reach the Fumeimon Gate, which is located at the main entrance of Nagoya Castle.

  • Bus

    If you prefer to take the bus, from Nagoya Station, find the bus terminal outside the station. Look for the Meitetsu Bus bound for Nagoya Castle (Nagoya-jo). The bus ride takes about 15 minutes. Get off at the Nagoya Castle bus stop, and you will find yourself very close to Fumeimon Gate. It is a short 5-minute walk from the bus stop to the gate.

    If you are staying nearby, you can walk to Nagoya Castle Fumeimon Gate. From Sakae, head northwest on Hisaya Odori Avenue until you reach the Nagoya Castle area.
