Getting There

  • Public Transportation

    If you are starting from the Miyanoura Port on Naoshima Island, take the local bus towards Honmura. The bus ride takes approximately 15 minutes. Get off at the Honmura stop. From there, you will need to transfer to another bus that heads towards Koyama Temple. The bus ride from Honmura to Koyama Temple takes around 20 minutes. The temple is a short walk from the bus stop.

    If you are driving from Miyanoura Port, head southeast on Route 1. Follow the signs towards Honmura. After about 2.5 kilometers, turn onto the road leading to Koyama Temple. The temple parking area is available, and it is free of charge. The drive will take approximately 10 minutes.

  • Bicycle

    Rent a bicycle from Miyanoura Port. Cycle towards Honmura along the coastal road, which is scenic and flat. The distance is about 3 kilometers and will take approximately 15 minutes.
