By Car
If you're traveling by car, start by navigating to Takamatsu City in Kagawa Prefecture. From the Takamatsu Interchange on the Takamatsu Expressway, take Route 11 towards Takamatsu City Center. Follow the signs for Ritsurin Garden. It will take approximately 30 minutes from the interchange. Parking is available at the garden for a fee of around 500 yen per day.
By Train
For those using public transportation, take a train to Takamatsu Station. The station is well-connected with other major cities in Shikoku. Upon arriving at Takamatsu Station, exit the station and head to the Kotoden Takamatsu Chikko Line. Take the train towards Ritsurin Koen and get off at Ritsurin Koen Station. The garden is a short 5-minute walk from the station. A one-way train ticket costs approximately 200 yen.
By Bus
Alternatively, you can take a bus from Takamatsu Station to Ritsurin Garden. Look for the local bus services that head towards Ritsurin Koen. The bus ride takes about 20 minutes and costs around 250 yen. After getting off at the Ritsurin Garden stop, follow the signs to the garden entrance.
