Getting There

  • Car

    If you are traveling by car, start from your current location on Naoshima Island. Drive towards the Naoshima ferry terminal and take the ferry to Takamatsu (approximately 50 minutes). After arriving in Takamatsu, follow the signs to Route 11 heading towards Sanuki. Continue on Route 11, and take the exit towards Sanuki City. Follow the local road signs to Ōkubo Temple, which is located at 96 Tawakanewari, Sanuki, Kagawa 769-2306. Parking is available near the temple.

  • Public Transportation

    To reach Ōkubo Temple using public transportation, start by taking the ferry from Naoshima Island to Takamatsu (approximately 50 minutes). Once you arrive at Takamatsu, head to the Takamatsu Station. From Takamatsu Station, take the Kotoden train towards Shido Station (about 30 minutes). Get off at Shido Station and then transfer to the local bus heading towards Sanuki City. The bus ride will take approximately 20 minutes. Get off at the stop nearest to Ōkubo Temple, located at 96 Tawakanewari, Sanuki, Kagawa 769-2306. Please note that the bus may cost around ¥500 yen one way.
