Getting There

Car
If you are driving from Nara Park, head east on Wakidani-cho Street. Continue straight for about 1.5 km until you reach the intersection with Sanjo-dori. Turn left onto Sanjo-dori and continue for about 800 meters. You will see a sign for Gango-ji on your right. Turn right onto Chuincho, and you will find Gango-ji at the address 〒630-8392 Nara, Chuincho, 11.

Public Transportation
From Nara Station, take the Kintetsu Nara Line towards Kintetsu Nara Station. Once you arrive at Kintetsu Nara Station, exit the station and walk towards the bus terminal located nearby. Take the Nara Kotsu Bus (Line 70 or 71) towards Gango-ji. After approximately 10 minutes, get off at the Gango-ji bus stop. The temple is a short walk from there, located at 〒630-8392 Nara, Chuincho, 11.

If you are already in the vicinity of Naramachi (the historical district), walk towards Sanjo-dori. Head east along Sanjo-dori for about 1 km. You will see Gango-ji on your left. The temple is located at 〒630-8392 Nara, Chuincho, 11.
