Car
If you are traveling by car, start your journey from Nara City. Take Route 369 north towards Kyoto. As you approach Kyoto, merge onto Route 1. Continue on Route 1 and follow the signs for Sakyo Ward. Once you reach Sakyo Ward, look for the signs directing you to Tetsugaku No Michi (Philosopher's Path). You will find parking options nearby, or you can park at a lot near the Nanzen-ji Temple, which is a short walk from the path.

For those using public transportation, begin at Nara Station. Take the Kintetsu Nara Line to Kyoto Station. From Kyoto Station, transfer to the Karasuma Subway Line and travel to the Kitaoji Station. Exit the station and take bus number 204 or 100 towards Ginkaku-ji. Get off at the 'Higashiyama Eki' bus stop. From there, it is a short walk to the Philosopher's Path. Follow the signs to Tetsugaku No Michi, and you will soon find yourself at this beautiful scenic spot.
