Getting There

  • Bus

    From Nara Station, take the Kintetsu Nara Line and board a train heading towards Kintetsu Yamato-Saidaiji Station. Get off at Yamato-Saidaiji Station. Then transfer to the Kintetsu Bus bound for Akame Onsen and get off at the Akame Visitor Center stop. The center is a short walk from the bus stop.

    Start at Nara Station and take the Kintetsu Nara Line towards Nagoya. Get off at Iga-Ueno Station, then transfer to the Iga Railway. Ride the train to Akameguchi Station. From Akameguchi Station, catch a local bus to the Akame Visitor Center, which is just a few minutes away.

  • Walking and Public Transportation

    If you are near the Nara Park area, walk to Kintetsu Nara Station (about 20 minutes). From there, follow the bus directions to take the Kintetsu Bus to Akame Onsen. Alternatively, you could walk to the nearest bus station if you prefer a scenic walk.
