Train
From Nara Station, take the Kintetsu Nara Line to Kyoto Station. This journey takes about 45 minutes. Once you arrive at Kyoto Station, transfer to the JR San-in Line towards Saga-Arashiyama and get off at Saga-Arashiyama Station, which takes approximately 15 minutes. From Saga-Arashiyama Station, exit the station and walk straight for about 10 minutes until you reach the entrance of the Arashiyama Bamboo Forest.

From Nara, head to Nara Bus Station and take the Kintetsu Bus bound for 'Arashiyama'. The bus ride will take about 1 hour. Once you arrive at the Arashiyama bus stop, walk towards the Arashiyama Bamboo Forest, which is about a 5-minute walk from the bus stop.

If you prefer biking, you can rent a bike in Nara. Start from Nara Park and ride towards the western direction towards Kyoto.
