Train
From Nara Station, take the Kintetsu Nara Line towards Osaka Namba Station. Get off at the Takada Station (about a 30-minute ride). From Takada Station, transfer to the Kintetsu Kyoto Line and head towards Ibaraki Station. This journey will take around 20 minutes. Once you arrive at Ibaraki Station, exit the station and find the bus stop for bus number 21 towards Daimonji. The bus ride will take approximately 15 minutes. Get off at the Daimonji stop, and you will see the entrance to Daimonji Temple just a short walk away.
Bus
From Nara Park, walk to the nearest bus stop (Nara Koen Mae) and take the bus number 70 towards Ibaraki. The journey will take around 40 minutes. Once you arrive at Ibaraki, get off at the Daimonji bus stop. The temple is a short walking distance from the bus stop, and you will be able to see the temple from there.
Walking
If you are near the center of Nara, you can enjoy a scenic walk to Daimonji Temple. Start from Nara Park and head towards the Kintetsu Nara Station. From the station, walk to the nearby bus stop and take a local bus heading towards Ibaraki. This is a longer option and will take about 1 hour of walking until you reach Daimonji Temple, but it offers a great experience of the local scenery.
