Public Bus
From Nara Station, take the Kintetsu Nara Line to Kyoto Station. Once at Kyoto Station, transfer to the Kyoto City Bus (Bus number 204 or 205) towards 'Daitoku-ji'. It will take about 30 minutes. Get off at the 'Daitoku-ji' stop. From the bus stop, walk 5 minutes north along Murasakino Daitokujicho street until you reach Daitoku-ji Temple at 53 Murasakino Daitokujicho.
Train and Walking
From Nara Station, take the Kintetsu Nara Line to Kintetsu Kyoto Station. Then, exit the station and walk to the nearby Kyoto City Bus stop. Take Bus number 204 or 205 towards 'Daitoku-ji'. After approximately 30 minutes, get off at 'Daitoku-ji' stop. Walk 5 minutes north along Murasakino Daitokujicho street to reach Daitoku-ji Temple.
Taxi
If you prefer a more direct route, you can take a taxi from Nara to Daitoku-ji Temple. The ride will take approximately 45 minutes depending on traffic. Simply tell the driver 'Daitoku-ji Temple' or show them the address: 53 Murasakino Daitokujicho.
