Getting There

  • Train

    From Nara Station, take the Kintetsu Nara Line towards Osaka Namba Station. The journey takes about 45 minutes. Once you arrive at Osaka Namba Station, follow the signs to the exit. After exiting the station, walk straight for about 5 minutes until you reach the intersection with Namba Walk.

  • Walking

    Once you are at the intersection with Namba Walk, head into the pedestrian shopping arcade. Continue walking straight through the arcade until you reach the end. Exit the arcade and turn left onto Namba Street. Continue straight for about 300 meters until you see Hozenji Yokocho on your right. The entrance is marked by traditional lanterns.

  • Bus

    From Nara Park, walk to the nearest bus stop and take the Kintetsu Bus bound for Namba. The ride will take approximately 50 minutes. After alighting at Namba Station, follow the signs to the exit, then proceed as described in the walking direction.

  • Taxi

    If you prefer a more direct route, you can take a taxi from any location in Nara directly to Hozenji Yokocho. Just provide the driver with the address: 1 Chome Namba, Chuo Ward, Osaka, 542-0076. The journey may take about 30 minutes, depending on traffic.
