Bus
From Nara Station, take the JR Nara Line to Kyoto Station. Once at Kyoto Station, transfer to the JR Sanin Line and take the train to Saga-Arashiyama Station. From Saga-Arashiyama Station, exit and head to the bus terminal. Take bus number 28 towards 'Osawa Pond'. The bus will take you directly to the pond, which is a short walk from the bus stop.
Train and Walk
From Nara Station, board the JR Nara Line towards Kyoto. Get off at Kyoto Station and transfer to the JR Sanin Line. Alight at Saga-Arashiyama Station. From there, walk approximately 25 minutes to Osawa Pond. To do this, head north on Arashiyama Main Street, then turn left onto the path that leads to the pond. Follow the signs pointing to Osawa Pond.
Taxi
If you prefer a more direct route, you can take a taxi from Nara to Osawa Pond. Taxis can be found outside Nara Station. Simply tell the driver 'Osawa Pond in Ukyo Ward, Kyoto'. The journey will take approximately 40 minutes, depending on traffic.
