    Getting There

    Walking

    From Nara Park, exit towards the Nara National Museum. Head towards the main road, Sanjo-dori, and walk straight until you reach Nara Station. From there, take the Kintetsu Nara Line train towards Kyoto. Get off at Kyoto Station. Once at Kyoto Station, follow the signs to the Karasuma Subway Line and take the subway towards Kokusaikaikan. Get off at Shijo Station. Exit the station and walk towards the Kamo River. Cross the river using the Shijo Bridge, then head south along the riverbank until you reach Pontocho Alley.

    Bus

    From Nara Park, walk to the Nara bus terminal located near the park entrance. Take the Kintetsu bus heading to Kyoto Station. Once you arrive at Kyoto Station, follow the signs to the Karasuma Subway Line and take the subway towards Kokusaikaikan. Get off at Shijo Station. After exiting the station, walk towards the Kamo River, cross using the Shijo Bridge, and head south along the riverbank to reach Pontocho Alley.

    Train

    Start at Nara Park and walk to Nara Station. Board the Kintetsu Nara Line train headed for Kyoto. Alight at Kyoto Station. At Kyoto Station, transfer to the Karasuma Subway Line and ride to Shijo Station. After disembarking, exit the station and head towards the Kamo River. Cross the river at Shijo Bridge and proceed south along the riverbank to arrive at Pontocho Alley.
