Train
From Nara Station, take the Kintetsu Nara Line train towards Osaka Namba. Get off at Sakai Station (approximately 50 minutes). Once you arrive at Sakai Station, exit the station and head towards the Sakai City Museum, which is about a 20-minute walk. Start by walking straight out of the station onto the main road. Turn left at the first traffic light, and continue straight until you reach the large park area where the museum is located.
Bus
From Nara Station, take the Nara Kotsu Bus No. 2 towards Sakai City. The bus ride takes about 1 hour. Get off at Mozusekiuncho stop. From there, the Sakai City Museum is located within the Daisen Park, about a 10-minute walk. Exit the bus and walk towards the park entrance, then follow the signs to the museum.
Bicycle
If you prefer cycling, rent a bicycle from a nearby rental shop in Nara. Head towards the Kizu River and follow the cycle path that leads west towards Sakai. It will take approximately 1.5 to 2 hours depending on your pace. Upon arrival in Sakai, look for signs directing you to Daisen Park, where the Sakai City Museum is situated.

If you are staying in Sakai, you can walk to the Sakai City Museum if you are within a 30-minute distance. Start from your location and head towards Daisen Park. The museum is located within the park, so simply follow the signs to the park entrance and then to the museum.
