    If you are in Nara, start at Nara Park. From the park, walk towards the East Gate exit. Continue straight until you reach the Nara Station. From Nara Station, take the Kintetsu Nara Line to Kyoto Station (approx. 45 minutes). Upon arrival at Kyoto Station, follow the signs to the subway. Take the Karasuma Line towards Kokusaikaikan and get off at Gojo Station. From Gojo Station, transfer to the Kyoto City Bus #207 or #208 towards Kujo. Get off at the Tōji temple bus stop. Tōji Temple is just a short walk from the bus stop, and you can easily spot it.

  • Train and Bus

    From Nara, head to the Kintetsu Nara Station. Purchase a ticket for the Kintetsu Nara Line to Kyoto Station. Once you arrive at Kyoto Station, switch to the subway and take the Karasuma Line towards Kokusaikaikan. Get off at Gojo Station. From Gojo Station, exit and look for the bus stop. Board the Kyoto City Bus #207 or #208 heading towards Kujo. Disembark at the Tōji Temple bus stop. The temple should be a short walk away, marked with signs.

    If you prefer a more direct route, you can take a taxi from your location in Nara directly to Tōji Temple. Provide the driver with the address: 1 Kujocho, Minami Ward, Kyoto, 601-8473.
