Walking
If you are in central Nara, make your way to Nara Park. From the park, head towards the west exit, which will lead you to the main road. Walk along the main road until you reach the Nara station. From there, take a train to Kyoto Station. Once you reach Kyoto Station, transfer to the Karasuma Subway Line and head north towards Kokusaikaikan Station. Get off at Karasuma Oike Station and transfer to the Tozai Line, heading towards Uzumasa Tenjingawa. Get off at Sanjo Keihan Station. Exit the station and walk east along Sanjo-dori Street until you reach the intersection with Kiyamachi-dori. Turn south (right) onto Kiyamachi-dori, and continue walking until you reach Ishiyacho. Zuisenji Temple will be located at 114 Ishiyacho, just a short walk from the street.

Begin your journey at Nara Park. Head to the nearest bus stop, which is located at Nara Park. From there, catch the Nara City Loop Bus, which is a convenient way to travel around the city. Get off at the Nara Station stop. From Nara Station, buy a ticket for the JR Nara Line or the Kintetsu Line to Kyoto Station. Once at Kyoto Station, take the Karasuma Subway Line north towards Kokusaikaikan Station. Transfer at Karasuma Oike Station to the Tozai Line, heading towards Uzumasa Tenjingawa. Get off at Sanjo Keihan Station. Exit the station and from the Sanjo Keihan Station, walk east along Sanjo-dori Street until you reach Kiyamachi-dori. Turn south (right) onto Kiyamachi-dori, and Zuisenji Temple is located at 114 Ishiyacho, just down the street.
