If you are traveling by car, start by navigating to the address: Ohashicho, Higashiyama Ward, Kyoto, 605-0009. From central Kyoto, take Route 1 (Kawaramachi-dori) south towards the Higashiyama area. Continue on Route 1 until you reach the intersection with Route 292. Turn left onto Route 292 and follow the signs for Ohashi. After about 5 minutes, you will reach Ohashicho where the Birthplace of Ekiden is located. There is limited parking in the area, so be prepared to park in a designated lot or on the street where permitted.
