Uji Temple and Shrine Tour
Teppani was an excellent guide on this tour and provided a wealth of information about not only Uji but also the amazing Unesco World Heritage shrines and temples. This tour is well worth the money to get a local perspective on these wonders that are still the original buildings. Teppani also made sure to recommend a local tea shop where I found premium quality matcha to take home.

Day out in Uji with Nagomi
I had a fantastic time with Nagomi. She is very knowledgeable and had fantastic English so every question was answered. I really got so much more out of the place that I would have if I went by myself. The tea making and drinking was so special it's really not something to be missed. I left very full of all the matcha flavoured snacks and sweets. Pick up was from the Uji station south exit, it's very clearly signposted, and drop off was either back at the station or left in the main street to enjoy the place more. Cannot recommend enough it's nice to get out of busy Kyoto and enjoy the peace and beauty of Uji.
