Car
If you are driving, start by heading southeast on Route 119 from Nikko. Follow the signs towards Utsunomiya and then take the exit towards Tochigi. After approximately 30 kilometers, merge onto Route 50 and continue for about 10 kilometers. You will see signs for Ashikaga. Once you enter Ashikaga, navigate towards Ietomicho. Hikomaya is located at 2220 Ietomicho, which should be clearly marked. There is parking available nearby.
Public Transportation
To reach Hikomaya using public transport, start at Nikko Station. Take the JR Nikko Line towards Utsunomiya and transfer at Utsunomiya Station to the JR Ryomo Line. Board the train heading towards Oyama and get off at Ashikaga Station. From Ashikaga Station, exit the station and walk towards the bus terminal. Take a local bus heading towards Ietomicho, and get off at the Ietomicho stop. Hikomaya is just a short walk from there, located at 2220 Ietomicho.
