Getting there

Car

If you're driving, start from Nikko city center and head southeast on Route 119. Continue straight for about 10 kilometers until you reach the junction with Route 121. Turn right onto Route 121 and follow the signs for Tokorono. After approximately 5 kilometers, you will see signs directing you to Kirifuri Plateau. Turn left onto the access road, which will lead you directly to the parking area of Kirifuri Plateau.

Public Transportation

To reach Kirifuri Plateau by public transport, take the Tobu Nikko Line train from Nikko Station to Shimo-Imaichi Station. From Shimo-Imaichi Station, transfer to a local bus heading towards Kirifuri Kogen. The bus ride will take about 30 minutes. Get off at the 'Kirifuri Kogen' stop, and from there, it's a short walk to the entrance of Kirifuri Plateau. Make sure to check the bus schedule in advance, as service may be limited.
