Getting There

  • Car

    If you're driving, start from the center of Nikko, where the Nikko Station is located. Head south on Route 119 for about 5 minutes until you reach the intersection with Route 408. Turn left onto Route 408. Continue on Route 408 for about 1.5 kilometers, and then turn right onto Sannai Street. Follow Sannai Street for about 500 meters, and Takio Shrine Honden will be on your left. There is parking available nearby.

    From Nikko Station, take the Tobu Nikko Line train towards Shimo-Imaichi. Get off at the next stop, Tobu Nikko Station. From there, you can catch a bus on the bus stop outside the station heading towards Sannai. The bus ride will take about 10 minutes. Disembark at the 'Sannai' bus stop, and Takio Shrine Honden will be a short 5-minute walk from the bus stop. Head south on Sannai Street, and you will find the shrine on your left.
