Getting there

Car

If you're traveling by car from central Nikko, start by heading south on Route 119 towards Tochigi. Continue straight for about 10 kilometers (approximately 20 minutes) until you reach the junction with Route 122. Turn left onto Route 122 and follow the road for another 3 kilometers. Look for signs for Kirifuri Falls, and take the turn on your right. There should be a small parking area near the falls. Note that parking may incur a small fee, usually around 500 yen.

Public Transportation

For those using public transportation, start at Nikko Station. Take the Tobu Bus bound for Kirifuri Falls. The ride takes approximately 30 minutes. Be sure to check the bus schedule in advance, as buses may not run frequently. Once you arrive at the Kirifuri Falls bus stop, you will have a short walk (about 10 minutes) to the falls themselves. The bus fare is typically around 600 yen.
