Car
If you are driving, head towards the center of Nikko and follow the signs for 'Toshogu Shrine'. From the Nikko city center, take Route 119 and then turn onto Route 293 towards Sannai. After approximately 2 km, you will see signs for Nikko Toshogu Hōmotsukan Museum on your left. There is parking available near the museum, but please note that there might be a parking fee of around 500 yen.

Public Transportation - Bus
For those using public transport, head to the Nikko Station. From there, take the Tobu Bus (Toshogu Line) towards 'Toshogu' or 'Toshogu Shrine'. The bus ride takes about 10 minutes and costs around 300 yen. Get off at the 'Toshogu' stop, and from there, it’s a short 5-minute walk to the Nikko Toshogu Hōmotsukan Museum. Follow the path leading towards the Toshogu Shrine, and you will see the museum on your right.

If you are already in the vicinity of the Toshogu Shrine, you can easily walk to the Nikko Toshogu Hōmotsukan Museum. From the main entrance of the Toshogu Shrine, head east along the path. The museum is located just a short walk away at 2301 Sannai, approximately 500 meters from the shrine entrance.
