If you are driving from central Omi, head northeast on Route 8. Continue for approximately 25 kilometers until you reach the Mihama area. Take the exit toward Mihama and follow the signs to Shinjo. Once in Shinjo, navigate toward the mountain area, following local road signs to Omikageyama. Be aware that parking might be limited, so arrive early to secure a spot.

Public Transportation

To reach Omikageyama using public transportation from Omi, start by taking a train from Omi Station to Mihama Station. The train journey takes around 30 minutes. Upon arriving at Mihama Station, you will need to take a local bus that heads toward Shinjo. The bus ride will take approximately 15 minutes. Get off at the Shinjo stop and from there, it is a short hike to the base of Omikageyama. Make sure to check the bus schedule ahead of time as they may not run frequently.

Taxi
