Walking
A-cho was located in Nakagyo Ward, a short walk from major shopping areas and historical sites. From the Shijo-Kawaramachi area, head north on Teramachi Street. The arcade was on the second and third floors of the A-Break Building. Note that the arcade is now permanently closed.
Public Transport
The nearest subway station to A-cho was Shijo Kawaramachi Station. From Kyoto Station, take the Karasuma Line to Shijo Station. Transfer to the Hankyu Kyoto Line and get off at Kawaramachi Station. A-cho was a short walk from the station. Kyoto city buses also serve the area. A flat fare of ¥230 for adults and ¥120 for children applied within the central area. Note that the arcade is now permanently closed.
Taxi
Taxis are readily available in Kyoto. A taxi from Kyoto Station to A-cho took approximately 10-15 minutes, depending on traffic. The initial fare was ¥490 for the first 1.5km, with additional charges of ¥320 per kilometer thereafter. The total cost was approximately ¥2090 for a 5km ride. Note that the arcade is now permanently closed.
