    If you are driving from Nara, take the Meishin Expressway towards Kyoto. After approximately 45 minutes, take the exit for Kyoto and follow signs for Route 1. Continue on Route 1, which will lead you into central Kyoto. Once in the city, look for signs to Nakagyo Ward. As you approach the area, turn onto Nakanocho street. The Nishiki Tenmangu Shrine will be located at 537 Nakanocho on your right. There is usually street parking available nearby.
