Getting There

  • Train

    If you're starting your journey from Osaka Station, take the JR Osaka Loop Line (green line) towards Nishikujo. Get off at Namba Station (about 15 minutes). After exiting the train, follow the signs to the Nankai Line or the underground shopping arcade, and make your way to the exit that leads to the streets above.

  • Walking

    Once you exit Namba Station, head towards the street known as 'Sennichimae-suji Shopping Street.' Continue walking straight until you reach the end of the shopping street. You will see the Dotonbori canal on your right. From there, turn left and walk along the canal until you reach the famous Glico Man sign. Next, follow the signs for 'Shinsekai' and continue straight until you see a large red gate that marks the entrance to the Tsutenkaku area.

  • Walking

    From the Tsutenkaku, walk south towards the Ebisuhigashi area. Billiken Shrine is located at 3 Chome-6-1 Ebisuhigashi, Naniwa Ward. Keep an eye out for the small shrine which is located on the second floor of the 'Aiz狸' (Aizuri) building right across from the Tsutenkaku Tower. You may need to climb a few steps to reach the shrine.

  • Subway

    Alternatively, if you are near Namba Subway Station, take the Midosuji Line (red line) towards Nakamozu. Get off at Namba Station. From there, follow the previous walking directions. This route is also about 10-15 minutes.
