Getting There

  • Public Transport

    From Kintetsu Nara Station, take the Kintetsu Line to Yamato-Saidaiji Station, then transfer to the Kintetsu Line bound for Kashiharajingu-mae Station. The journey takes approximately 50 minutes. From Kashiharajingu-mae Station, the shrine is a 10-minute walk. Kintetsu Rail Pass offers unlimited rides within designated zones. A one-day pass costs around ¥1900.

    From Kashiharajingu-mae Station, exit and walk straight along the wide avenue lined with ginkgo trees. The walk to the shrine's entrance takes about 10 minutes. You'll pass under a large torii gate marking the entrance to the sacred grounds. There are no tolls or special access fees for walking to the shrine.

Kashihara Jingu, located in Kashihara, Nara Prefecture, is a significant Shinto shrine dedicated to Emperor Jimmu, the first emperor of Japan. The shrine is associated with good fortune, health, and longevity, with lucky charms and fortune papers featuring the Yatagarasu crow, which guided Emperor Jimmu.
