Public Transport
From Osaka-Umeda Station, take the Hankyu Takarazuka Line to Ishibashi handai-mae Station. Transfer to the Hankyu Minoo Line and get off at Minoo Station. The train journey takes approximately 25 minutes and costs ¥280. From Minoo Station, it's a scenic walk through Minoh Park to Ryuan-ji Temple. Alternatively, take the Kita-Osaka Kyuko Railway Namboku Line from Umeda Station to Minoh Kayano Station. From there, take a direct bus to Katsuo-ji Temple, which also stops at Ryuan-ji Temple. For a more direct route, a special shuttle bus operates from Minoo Station to Minoh Waterfall, with stops at Katsuo-ji Temple and Ryuan-ji Temple. A one-way ticket costs ¥700, or ¥1000 from Hankyu Minoh Station to Katsuo-ji Temple. An unlimited-ride ticket for the day costs ¥2000 for adults and includes a ¥500 shopping coupon.
Walking
From Hankyu Minoh Station, exit and find the Yuzuru-kun Stone Statue, which marks the start of the Minoh Falls hike. Follow the paved path, enjoying the natural scenery of Minoh Park. The walk to Ryuan-ji Temple is a pleasant stroll through the park. The temple is located along the path to Minoo Waterfall. There is no admission fee for the park itself. However, budget some money for snacks and drinks along the way.
Taxi
Taxis are available from Hankyu Minoh Station to the Dainichi parking lot, which is the closest point to Minoh Waterfall and Ryuan-ji Temple. The taxi ride takes about 10-15 minutes and costs approximately ¥1500-¥1600. From the Dainichi parking lot, it's a short walk to the temple. Parking fees at Dainichi Parking Lot vary depending on the month. Check the official website for current rates.
